myRUC is an authorized electronic Road User Charges (eRUC) management system developed by New Zealand-based Picobyte Solutions. Approved by the New Zealand Transport Agency, myRUC caters primarily to light vehicles, electric vehicles (EVs), plug-in hybrids (PHEVs), and commercial fleets. Instead of using traditional paper labels, the system utilizes a wireless, solar-powered e-ink digital display mounted on the windscreen, which updates via the myRUC mobile app. Users can manually purchase RUC distance units through the app or set up automated purchasing (Auto-RUC) to ensure their licenses remain current. For fleet managers, myRUC integrates with various telematics providers to track vehicle distances, manage bulk renewals through a web portal, and automate off-road refund claims.
